Graph plotting is normally done automatically whenever necessary. The plotting itself is performed concurrently with the norml use of the program, so can always be interrupted or modified without having to wait for the plot to complete. It is possible to prevent this automatic plottin if you wish by unchecking the ‘Always Replot’ command. If this is done, you will need to initiate graph plotting manually by choosing the ‘Plot Graph Now!’ command.
You can abort a plot in progress by choosing the same menu item- its wording changes to ‘Abort Plot’ if one is in progress. You can also abort a plot with Command-Period. You can set all of the currently open graphs plotting at once by holding down the option key and choosing this command- its wording changes to ‘Plot All’.
When you use the Stack Windows or Tile Windows commands, automatic replotting is temporarily turned off. This prevents a lot of graphs suddenly being redrawn, perhaps unnecessarily. The graphs will be scaled to fit the window; you will need to choose ‘Plot Graph Now!’ for any that you want to redraw explicitly.
